Nobody seems to know what will become of jkf now that she has been removed from the presidential seat. Some people say she still has tenure and will resume her former job in the ASL department. Some people believe she will resume her former Provost job (which I disagree since Faculty Senate already voted against her thus nullifying that possibility). It appears it is believed she will remain at Gallaudet one way or another.
Sigh! Why? Why would she even want to stay at Gallaudet?? Walk around in a hostile environment? Is she a sucker for punishment? There are many other universities that are probably in awe of her "New Order" idea and would be thrilled to have her aboard. Just not at Gallaudet where ASL and Deaf Epicenter is precious. Where "New Order" is met with suspicious and resistance. Take her ideas elsewhere.
I simply do not understand jkf's physiology. It's been largely agreed upon that she has a personality complex - Napoleonic, Grandeur, etc...And possibly largely based on how her mother raised her. We all understand that. But we don't understand her tenacity and insistence upon being joined at the hip with Gallaudet and ikj who continues to be her best cheerleader and most loyal fan. Seems to me she just doesn't know when it is time to move on. Now is good time for her to move on to something else. Go someplace where her leadership style and ideas would be well received and accepted.
Besides if she goes back to ASL department, MJ Bienvenu will eat her alive. For sure after their confrontation where jkf said " I am the only person who can lead Gallaudet" and MJ fired back, "You are that arrogant?" Payback time if she goes back to ASL department.

Cy, It is not anybodies business anymore what or where JKF does or goes. You should go along in your tunnel of a world and let Dr. Fernandes take care of what she has to. I am sure she will not be there to ruin anyone lives anymore because a few years from now, when you are all in the same position you are in now it won't be her you can blame. You can only blame yourselves. You are an individual in complete control of your own destiny. JKF has nothing to do with your life. Take the baby bottle out of your mouth, do what it is that disgruntled people do who want to blame their misfortune on someone else, and leave JKF out of it. Go blame someone else now.

Cy, well I don't see how JKF can assume the provost position again as she's supposedly stepped down from that to accept the presidency of Gallaudet (which has been rescinded). She might stay to teach, but if that were me, I would get the hell outta Dodge knowing that no one really wanted me there in the first place.
Pruple, thank you. Nothing in my post blamed Fernandes for anything but having a personality complex which play a big role in her stubborness ans refusal to resign and failing to realize her leadership style is unbecoming to the university.

Hey, jkf is a PUBLIC figure - we can comtemplate about her if we want to. Ever heard of the First Amendment? Freedom of Speech. That is why we can PROTEST.
And I DID say she needs to move on, just like what you said - take care of her future - preferably without Gallaudet.
Purple has it right - nobody wants her at Galaudet which was precisely what I was posting about - that she needs to move on ELSEWHERE where she would be better appreciated and wanted.
There was nothing in my post blaming or heckling her. Except the MJ part - which is based on fact. MJ WILL make things difficult for her if she goes back to ASL dept which jkf needs to think about before accepting her old job back. Like I said, it would be in her best interest to go elsewhere and start over. Who knows? She might bloosom and thrive in an environment where everyone appreciate her leadership elsewhere. We all know it will never happen at Gallaudet.

I forgot to add - if you read my earlier post about provost - my suspicion as to why the provost position is interim - I questioned if board foresaw the protest and kept provost position on interim status in case jkf needs it back...but back then they did not factor in that Faculty Senate would vote against her. Now it does not seem plausible she might bump Mike Moore off and get her old job back as provost.
