It's all politics and quid pro quo.
And.... because they can!
During the year of 2005, I. King Jordon was president of Gallaudet and also had several AG Bell members on the BoT. And one of them, I think was a former president of AGBell.
So it is simple common sense that IKJ was in"bed" with AG Bell.
So therefore Gallaudet (IKJ) donated money to AG Bell.

Since Jordan and Jane K. Fernandes, Gallaudet experienced some changes. Davila needs to get Gallaudet back on track, right down to the donor list.
I personally feel AGBell do not deserve ANY donations from Deaf people. Tax refunds, funds from the federal government, and other benefits are always bound to entice any business, school, or organization to donate to various causes, even AGBell.
Since I still can smell Fernandes' lasting scent since she left Gallaudet, the scent has swirled into the hands of AGBell: money.

I wonder, all Deaf's contributions to Gallaudet, do they take some and transfer to AgBAD? Where do Gallaudet get the money from to contribute to AgBAD?

Wish you had a printed summary. I wanted to see who is on the list that you are talking about, but I have no time or patience for vlogs.
Just me,
I've said the list is from another blog and all you need to do is click on the link provided on my vlog. If you don't haver patience with vlogs, then why bother posting? My vlog was only 4 minutes long. I get right to the point - unlike some who like to elaborate on their topic.

Quite a few vlogs have a written summary underneath. I read the summary, I don't bother with the vlogs. Four minutes? No, you can't have four minutes of my time, sorry. I could have read a summary in 10 seconds.
As I saw your vlog and read comments. I have to agree that it's due to BOT members who are linked to AGB and that it was Gallaudet University's political donation. Oralism and ASL struggle seems to never end. In life there's always two ends.
another one who also donated to AGBELL and not just only Gallaudet and RIT/NTID.. The professor of Psychology at Gallaudet who donated, too.. her name was listed.. her name is Irene W. Leigh.. I recognized her name from Gallaudet faculty.. That is BIGGEST SHAME!!!!
I agree with you that we hope President of Gallaudet Davila need to wake up. Or my question does he may involve dirty business or Does he have a heart to support us into what he stand for to against AGB. who know! Mystery! Puzzle!

I wonder if its appropriate for BoTs to donate and use Gallaudet University's name? It should be a personal donation and use only the their names...or did Gallaudet U itself donate the money thru King Jordan himself?
It's sad. There is no good reason for why Gally sponsors AG Bell Assocation, even if it's for stipulation or whatever, because AG Bell Associaton harms us! Purpose, goal, and history of Gally is polluted.

Agreed. Gallaudet is tarnished for its association with AGBell.
The BoT during Jordan Administration had several AGB members. The C.I. center was established at Clerc Center and Sorsenson building came as a result of the Audiology and Speech Center outgrowing its MTB facility. All of these documentation were included in my blog, including the floor plans of Sorenson Center... however, the floor plans have been taken down from Gallaudet website after my expose and Ron Fencile's expose were publicized. So when I saw the financial contribution of Gallaudet to AGBell on the annual report, I wasn't surprised.
I am hopeful that Gallaudet will respect the dignity of Deaf Community by choosing not to sponsor an organization intent in demonizing ASL and putting down Deaf people.

Yes, I figured it must be the BoTs but was it legit to use the university's name rather than their own when donating money to AGBell?
Yes, I am aware Sorenson is the new home for the old MTB, however, the thing was it was supposed to be a larger home for ASL/Deaf Culture, and there was a rumor running around that it would not happen, and that MJ Bienvenu was hookwinked. We will see when Sorenson is completed and see if their floor plan doesn't change. It may just be true since the Auditory and Speech Center is downstairs where people first come in and are exposed to the atmosphere of auditory and speech and not ASL and Deaf Culture. In itself, it is already something rotten in Denmark!
BoT has the ultimate control of Gallaudet University. That's why it's so important to know who gets on its BoT.
Yes, ASL and Deaf Studies did get little expansion.. but it pales tremendously compared to Speech and Hearing Center. If I remember correctly, Speech and Hearing Center is to have one floor and 2/3 of the second floor. The ASL and Deaf Center has something like 1/5 or 1/4 of one floor. For a Deaf university, this is extremely peculiar. The expansion of ASL and Deaf Studies strikes me more like a token expansion. :/
Well, it depends on Davila. Perhaps he has created changes with the floor plans of Sorenson Center, giving more recognition to ASL and Deaf Studies. I hope so as Deaf people deserve this recognition.
